Data company Kantar revealed that marmalade sales in Britain increased 18% last month after the death of Queen Elizabeth II. After the monarch passed away on September 8th, many people rewatched a video of her bonding with an animated Paddington Bear over their shared love for marmalade sandwiches. The clip's popularity led mourners to leave sandwiches and pots of citrus jam in London parks as tributes--so many, that park officials asked the public to stop leaving anything except flowers.
