According to the government, vaccines have saved at least 330,000 lives and prevented 680,000 hospitalizations of seniors in 2021. However, only 4% of Americans eligible for the newest Omicron-targeting booster have received it. Becerra said “you can’t really put a price tag on the value of saving someone’s life,” but Medicare has saved $16 billion so far.


“From today, any price increase is prohibited. Prohibited!”

Belarus’s President Alexander Lukashenko has come up with an interesting way to try to stop inflation: banning inflation. According to state media, his prohibition on all consumer price increases took effect this past Thursday. This isn't the first time the Putin ally has made a drastic suggestion-- he also recommended that people should drink vodka every day in order  keep Covid away.
