On Monday, Virgin Australia ran a social media poll that found that 67% of travelers said they prefer the aisle seat on the plane, 34% the window, and less than 1% the middle. To incentivize more people to be open to sitting in a middle seat, the airline launched a “Middle Seat Lottery” that will give away more than $230,000 in prizes to travelers who select or are assigned to a middle seat.
