US consumer confidence is down, according to the Conference Board. The latest index level is 102.5, which is lower than 107.8 in September and below the expected 106.5 reading. A score over 100 signals that consumers are optimistic about the economy. The index was 132.6 back in February 2020 .


“We have no choice.”

You might want to put your Lightning cables away with all of the other cords you never use. Greg Joswiak, Apple's head of marketing, confirmed on Tuesday that the company will be making the switch to USB-C soon. As Joswiak pointed out, this change is necessary because a new law was recently passed requiring all phones and tablets sold in the EU to support USB-C charging by 2024. Although we don't know for sure yet, it's likely that Apple will begin using these new chargers for all iPhone models sold worldwide, not just those in Europe.
