The most expensive automobile ever sold is a Mercedes-Benz race car. The Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupe, one of two of its kind made in 1955, sold for approximately $143 million at auction earlier this month, breaking the previous record by more than $95 million. It will certainly cost you just as much to fill it.
