Tim Cook is more protective of Apple’s brand, than Gollum was of the one ring. Between 2019 and 2021, the firm filed 215 trademark oppositions to protect its IP, according to the Tech Transparency Project.
Comparing that to the approximately 136 conflicts filed by Microsoft, Amazon, Facebook, and Google as a whole during the same period shows how aggressive Apple is. The publication claims that Apple even went after businesses with logos bearing images of other fruits like oranges and pears.
