Almost everyone who lives in Alaska is vying for a seat in the US House of Representatives. There are now 48 candidates on the ballot, including Sarah Palin, 22 independents, and Santa Claus (he's a city councilor for the town of North Pole). Mail-in ballots must be postmarked already, and the four candidates who receive the most votes will go to a special general election in August.


“I don’t have a lot of time for her.”

During an interview at the NYT Dealbook DC Policy Forum yesterday, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen stated that she is familiar with Cardi B but that she is too preoccupied with crafting economic policy to participate in the WAP discussion. Cardi B's comment about a recession came up after she tweeted last weekend, "When y'all think they're going to announce that we're entering a recession?" Yellen stated that she did not anticipate a recession.
