Yesterday, NASA launched a spacecraft roughly the size of your microwave, but it has huge goals. It's testing out a new lunar orbit—and, if that plan works, it'll be used for a planned Gateway space station circling the moon. Gateway will serve as a launch site for astronauts launching to the lunar surface.
