Saudi Aramco, the kingdom's oil behemoth, reported record earnings of $48.4 billion in the second quarter owing to rising oil prices. That's more than the profits of ExxonMobil, Chevron, and Shell combined last quarter, which set new records. This year, Saudi Arabia's economy is expected to grow at a rate of around 7.6%, making it the fastest growing country in the world. Maybe they'll be able to afford that vertical city after all?
