We never thought this day would arrive, but in August, for the first time since March 2021, the median US home sold below its asking price, according to Redfin. The housing market has been slowing down as rising mortgage rates scare off potential purchasers.


“Where does one even buy a floppy disk these days?”

Taro Kono, Japan's Digital Minister, has declared war on floppy disks. These outdated storage solutions are still required for 1,900 different government procedures, which is surprising considering Japan's advances in cutting-edge tech. In 2018, the country's cybersecurity chief even admitted to never using a computer before. Once he finished with the floppy disks, Kono said he'd be moving onto fax machines next.
